Chandigarh: Chandigarh will fast-track the constitution of a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and modernise its emergency response system to tackle heatwaves, urban floods, earthquakes and fires. The plan includes integrating the Emergency Operations Centre with the ICCC, GIS-based hazard mapping, identifying vulnerable buildings and strengthening fire, police and inter-departmental response.
