Chandigarh: Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has flagged 190 officials and employees linked to repeated corruption complaints and directed departments to prevent those caught accepting bribes from being posted again in the same district. ACB chief Arshinder Singh Chawla on Friday said that the decision followed deliberations by the High-Power Committee and would be implemented soon. The Bureau has conducted 138 successful trap operations in 2026, effectively catching an official accepting a bribe almost every other day, excluding holidays. Chawla said the list is being analysed to identify corruption hotspots and departments generating the most complaints. Since January 1, courts have also sentenced 23 officials in 21 corruption cases. He said the increasing complaints indicate growing public confidence in the anti-corruption mechanism.
